Lymington Precision Engineers is a major employer in the New Forest and surrounding areas, employing over 180 members of staff.
Our employees are our greatest asset – Their ambition, innovation, experience and skills have been a major factor in our success. We continue to train and encourage our workforce and conduct our business in a fair, open and ethical manner. In 2011 we introduced a companywide bi-annual profit share scheme to ensure that our employees benefit from LPE’s success.
All of our employees are included on a skills matrix, which highlights experience, current training activities and future training needs, which are reviewed by Management on a regular basis. Training is undertaken in house and off site where necessary. Product based training is undertaken to make the workforce aware of the environment in which specialist products operate, highlighting the need for special handling and contamination control procedures.
We operate an excellent apprenticeship scheme, providing the engineering industry with young, skilled engineers, helping to promote the industry and encourage engineering in the United Kingdom.
Health and safety is also very important to us. Training such as Manual Handling, Conducting Risk Assessments and Fire Marshal Training are also carried out at LPE.
