Investing in new technology and machinery

LPE’s investment in new technology and machinery over the last six months has amounted to well in excess of £1m – This includes the purchase of two new machines, a Matsuura Mam 72-63V and a Matsuura H Plus 405.

The Matsuura 5-Axis vertical machining centre, MAM72-63V enables the "flexible menu setup", "various sorts and flexible production" and "extended periods of unmanned operation", achieving process integration and high-accuracy complicated machining by one-chucking 5-axis machining. This machine is ideal for processing of large geometrically complex components up to Ø720 x H450mm in size.

The Matsuura H.Plus-405 offers a pallet size of 500 x 500 mm, providing a cost effective horizontal solution for components of Ø700 x H850mm.
